About bb.q Chicken Oakland
The bb.q in our name stands for "Best of the Best Quality", and that's exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken🍗 is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you've tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It's a tremendous amount of work, but it's all worth it when you take that first bite.

Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

The chicken is amazing! Usually I don't like fried wings because they are dry and mostly greasy, but these are so good, not greasy at all just chock full of flavor! The galbi recipe is so flavorful, and the coke slaw is hella good too! You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the Oakland hills and people watch. Enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Fantastic! Actually I suggested that they develop cheese balls at early July when ordering Uber Eats and they replied to me and they really developed it now!!! I feel deeply touched and I dined in today with my boyfriend (ordering cheese balls for sure) That’s amazing! Staff are friendly, too!

This place actually catered an event at my apartment building in Jack London, and the food was so good that my friends and I decided we had to visit the restaurant for lunch. I’m so glad we did! We ordered the Original, Spicy Original, Honey Garlic, Gangnam Style, potstickers, and the Rose Ddeok-bokki. The Honey Garlic wings were hands down my favorite—they were perfectly crispy, flavorful, and had just the right balance of sweet and savory. The Original and Spicy Original were also really good, and the Gangnam Style didn’t disappoint either. The only thing I wouldn’t order again is the Rose Ddeok-bokki. It just wasn’t for me. The only downside is the price. An 8-piece order of wings is about $18, which is definitely on the expensive side. That said, the quality of the food makes it worth treating yourself every now and then. The restaurant itself is really cute, with a few outdoor tables and a small bar ledge inside if you want to dine in. The customer service has always been friendly whenever I’ve visited. Just keep in mind that the food is made fresh, so it usually takes about 20–30 minutes. Don’t go in super hungry unless you’re okay with waiting, or better yet, place your o

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure our order was prepared perfectly. The restaurant was clean, and the food was definitely worth the wait. If you’re looking for some of the best Korean fried chicken in the Bay Area, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors. Highly recommend!

It's SO GOOD. We got 3 orders of wings, two bone-in and one boneless. The flavors we got were galbi, soy garlic, and gangnam style, plus regular fries and sweet potato fries. I love Korean fried chicken and this was excellent. Light, mega crispy, flavorful sauces. Yes. When asked which was my favorite flavor, at the end of the meal, It was simply impossible to choose. I love soy sauce flavor and I love garlic and their sauc is delicious. I had expected the galbi to be insipid and oversweet, since that is not uncommon, but it was really delicious and had a very nice, unexpected smokiness to it. Would I like it to be a little bit less sweet? Yes. But would I order it next time? Also yes. The one I got was the Gangnam style, with a peppery sauce and some chilies on it. I loved the black pepper in there. I want to particularly note that their boneless wings were surprising and wonderful. Normally when you get boneless wings, you get a nugget sized chunk of meat with bearing and sauce. There's not a strong sense of chicken to the whole thing. But these "wings" were large and a bit flat, slathered with sticky, smoky galbi sauce. First you get this burst of flavor followed quickly by la
